Hey, I'm Kyle. Nice to meet you! I'm the really chill guy with the camera, and if you're wondering who that is, well this is the part where I tell you all "about me."
I'm a nerd, I love movies and video games, computers and comics, and even Dungeons & Dragons. I'm really big into electronic music, but I love classic rock and 1990's alternative too. I'm a professional introvert, but that just means I'm super observative and often focus on small details. I'm a proud Navy veteran of course, but very humble. I'm a brother to two wonderful sisters and son to a mother who is probably just a bit too supportive of everything I do.
I'm very grateful for my business. I really love what I do, and I make sure everyone knows it. I started photography as a hobby while studying film and media in college. I started becoming interested in photojournalism and began shooting for news and magazines. I eventually landed on wedding photography by complete accident. I never intended to fall in love with this special niche in the professional photo world, but I had great teachers along the way that inspired me to dive fully in.
People often ask me about how I would describe my style or approach. As I mentioned, my background is in photojournalism and cinematography. I would say I have a cinematic approach to photography, as I'm often looking for the best and most epic compositions, almost like I'm framing up for a film and shooting for the big screen. At the same time, I also prefer shooting candid moments, and I think this ultimately gives my photos a very photojournalistic style. So that's a strange combination, but weddings are often naturally grand occasions, so that's probably the best way to describe my work. Naturally Grand.
On the wedding day, I'm the most relaxed and easy-going person you'll ever see. I want to be as invisible as possible because I feel this day shouldn't be an 8-hour+ photo shoot. This is YOUR day, not mine. I want everyone else to have fun and be relaxed, and my goal is to be as low impact as a wedding photographer can be. But don't ever worry if you haven't seen me in a bit, I'm just looking for the next great photo for your album.
